Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s love story: Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant have been making headlines ever since they got engaged last month at Nathdwara in Rajasthan. The Ambanis threw a post engagement bash attended by Bollywood A-listers and other who’s who of Mumbai. The duo’s love story goes back in time to their childhood. Here we reveal to you how it all began.

How it all began
Not much is known as to how the two met. But reports have been doing rounds that Anant and Radhika knew each other since childhood and have been friends for long. The couple shared their first picture together in 2018 that had gone viral then. The two looked adorable as they posed looking into each other’s eyes.
They dated for a long time and if some reports are to be believed, they got engaged in a secret ceremony a few years ago. However, the Ambanis did not confirm this.
The couple has been often making public appearances together for a few years now. Radhika Merchant attends all family functions and events of the Ambanis. She was also present at Isha Ambani-Anand Piramal wedding in 2018 and at Akash Ambani-Shloka Mehta wedding in 2019. And when Akash and Shloka celebrated their son Prithvi Akash Ambani’s first birthday, she attended the celebrations. People loved the family-like picture of Radhika, Isha, Shloka and Prithvi together.
A true Mumbaikar
The 24-year old Radhika Merchant is the daughter of Viren Merchant, the CEO of Encore Healthcare and Shaila Merchant. She also has a younger sister, Anjali Merchant. She has done her schooling at the Cathedral and John Connon School in Mumbai and Ecole Mondiale World School. She studied politics and economics at New York University. After graduating, Radhika returned to India and joined as a sales professional in a real estate firm.
A trained classical dancer, Radhika learnt Bharatnatyam at Shree Nibha Arts for almost 8 years under the guidance of Guru Bhavana Thakar. Her ‘arangetram’, the official ascent to the stage ceremony, was organised by the Ambanis. Nita Ambani too is a Bharatnatyam, dancer.
Radhika Merchant’s best friend, Orhan Awataramani shared an adorable picture of Anant and Radhika and congratulated them on his Instagram story. He even put a ring emoji to confirm the news that the duo is engaged.
