Breakfast Recipe: Finger millet or Ragi is widely consumed in south India and many African countries. Known as a wonder grain for weight loss, it is rich in calcium and has high fibre content. Low in carbs, it is a healthy cereal option for those suffering from diabetes. Even babies are fed ragi porridge. Good to digest, it helps strengthen baby’s bones by providing high calcium and iron to the body.
So if you are looking for a healthy and tasty breakfast option, then you must try ragi chilla. Eat it with mint chutney or any other dip of your choice. It is super easy to make and super tasty too.
Ingredients
2 cups Ragi flour
1 tbsp besan
2 tbsp boiled corn
1/2 cup grated carrot
1 spring onion (chopped)
salt to taste
1/2 tsp cumin powder
chopped coriander
1 tsp green chilli (finely chopped)
1/2 tsp dhania powder
Water
Oil
Instructions
Take a bowl and add ragi flour, besan, salt, cumin and dhania powder.
Now, slowly add water and mix it to make a thick batter.
Add all the vegetables to the batter and mix well.
Heat some oil on a non-stick pan and spread the batter over it.
Cook it from both sides for a few minutes.
Your Ragi chilla is now ready to be served with the choice of your dip.
