Brihaspati Dev Aarti Lyrics: Thursday, or Brihaspativar in Hinduism, is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Brihaspati, the Guru of Devas. This day, also known as Gurubar or Guruvar, is marked by fasting, with devotees consuming food only once. Yellow is the auspicious color, and many visit Hanuman Temples on Thursdays. Various stories, part of local folklore, associate Thursday fasts with blessings of wealth and a happy life. Lord Vishnu, in some tales, tests devotees in the guise of a Sadhu on this day. This simple ritual is a gateway to spiritual reflection and divine favor.
