Before commencing any auspicious work, Kalash Sthapana is necessary. Hence, you need to arrange the following materials for setting up the kalash: soil, a clay pitcher, a clay cover, barley, kalava, matted coconut, Molly, a little intact, water, gangajal, maroon cloth, a kerosene lamp, and tilak made of turmeric and lime.

To ensure a smooth worship process, you need to buy the following things: red chunri, coconut, red dress, Molly, intact, Kumkum, mother statue, betel leaf and nut, sweets, kalava, clove, cardamom, lamp, ghee, sunlight, red flower, Batashe or Mishri, Kapoor, and fruits.
Makeup of Maa Durga
The makeup of Maa Durga is an integral part of the Navratri celebration, and devotees place great importance on the sixteen adornments of the goddess. These adornments include red chunri, red bangles, vermilion, bindi, kajal, mehndi, mahavar, shisha, nettle, perfume, braid, neck rosary or mangalsutra, anklets, nail paint, lipstick, band for braid, nath, gajra, mang tika, earrings, comb, and mirror.
