Health Tips: Bhumi Pednekar, the 34-year-old actress went through a huge body transformation, since the release of her debut film, Dum Laga Ke Haisha. To star as a leading lady in the biggest Bollywood, the actresses have to conform to certain beauty standards. Therefore, the actress went through a drastic weight loss without relying on any fancy fad diets. The actress supposedly did not even consult any dietician and relied on Google results to search for the best diet suitable for her. She, along with her mother curated the healthiest diet that helped her lose 32 Kilos in a short amount of time.
Sugar reduction
Bhumi Pednekar, a foodie with a big sweet tooth, took the executive decision to reduce her sugar intake. It is very commonly known that the biggest reason for weight gain is sugar among most people. It is also the cause of a lot of health problems for more than 1,000 adults in the USA. Bhumi, therefore, prefers using substitutes for sugar, like Stevia, Maple Syrup, Coconut Sugars and other natural sweeteners. However, she emphasises that, like anything, it should also be consumed in moderation.
Hydration
The actress also is very strict about her water intake. She drinks at least 7 glasses of water daily, which flushes out all the toxins from her body. Moreover, she likes to add lemon to her water which boosts the body’s immunity and mint, which has digestion properties. Moreover, she also prefers drinking cucumber juice as it has many health benefits, that keep the body hydrated.
Bhumi Pednekar’s breakfast, lunch and dinner
The actress took to Instagram to share her breakfast ritual with the world. In the post, she said, “I start my mornings with a glass of warm or detox water and thirty minutes later, I eat muesli with skimmed milk and flax or sunflower seeds. Then comes the king-sized breakfast of whole-wheat bread with 2 egg white omelettes and fruit.” For lunch, she eats, “Simple, home-cooked wholesome food that includes roti, sabzi and dal. I eat everything but a healthy version of it. So my rotis are not made of wheat but of bajra, jowar, nachni, soya, chana or rajgira and topped with a little white butter.” For dinner, she eats, “I have a big bowl of salad with all salad greens, maybe add an apple, and some walnuts or some dried berries if seasonal ones are unavailable – dressed with olive oil and balsamic vinegar or some olive chilli oil with garlic and mustard, or some apple cider vinegar.”
