Health Tips: Stained teeth are natural in individuals. Attaining pearly white teeth is unrealistic, however, it is possible to reduce the yellow tinge on your teeth. Although bleach is widely used to whiten teeth, it may not be the best solution. However, there are a few homemade tips and tricks that can be used to do so.
How do teeth become yellow?
When the enamel is exposed to constant chewing and eating, its properties wear off, resulting in a yellow tinge. On top of that, a layer of plaque develops on your teeth over time, which can be removed by going to a dentist. A few homemade techniques can be used to combat excessive staining and whiten your teeth
Oil Pulling
Oil pulling is a common technique to remove dirt and bacteria from the teeth, that has been practised since ancient times. This method involves the use of natural oils such as coconut oil or sesame oil, that is used to pull out any extra toxins and plaque from your mouth. This involves putting a tablespoon of coconut oil straight into your mouth and moving it around your entire mouth and teeth so that it removes all the dirt and plaque.
Baking Soda
Baking soda can be a great alternative to chemical bleaches. when applied on its own, baking soda can have magical cleansing properties on the teeth. Moreover, this creates an alkaline substance on your teeth that kills the bacteria. Apart from that, if used with a toothpaste, baking soda can help whiten the teeth
Hydrogen peroxide
To amp it up a notch, hydrogen peroxide can be used to kill bacteria at a deeper level. Experts suggest that using a tiny amount of hydrogen peroxide with baking soda and toothpaste can lead to whitened teeth in a short amount of time.
Healthy diet
A healthy diet constituting of a lot of fruits and vegetables can facilitate healthy and white teeth
Regular brushing
Brushing twice daily is a minimum in keeping dental issues at bay. Moreover, regular brushing will aid in achieving white teeth in the long run.
