Sadhguru Tips: Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev always addresses important and simple topics and in his recent learning, he talked about the generation clash. Talking about the generation clash, he said that the fundamental issue is that the elder generation does not believe it is old enough, while the younger generation believes it is. Someone is effectively occupying the place you wish to occupy. It is not limited to humans.
Sadhguru gives tips about generation clash
Sadhguru reveals that we developed varnashrama dharma. It means, that from the age of zero to twelve, it is balavastha or childhood – you just play, and your body and intellect should expand. Brahmacharya is the period from 12 to 24 when you must control your body and mind and develop your energy in order to become a strong creature. Sadhguru says that if you take sannyasa at 48 and live an ascetic life separated from each other, then when you meet each other after 12 years at the age of 60, your relationship will be completely different. You will also live together in a forest. The parents want the kids to go today instead of them. The kids want to travel if they have established themselves in the world. But there will be a conflict if they have not established their footing.
Space is important
Due to emotions, people think they are parents and children. But in real life, it’s just a young bull and a large bull battling to get space and supremacy. Women approach it differently than men do. However, the underlying issue still exists: you want your space, but they aren’t giving it to you, and thus conflicts will always arise. Your distant children will always love you. There will always be conflict if they are around you—not because you or they are evil, but because you both require a certain type of space.
Solution of Generation Clash
According to Sadhguru, The elderly should learn to take constant steps back. The young will continue to occupy that area. In addition, the elderly ought to exhibit a certain amount of maturity and experience, but the young should not be overawed by the elderly. If you don’t do that, the young will look down on you and behave badly in a variety of ways.
