Sadhguru Tips: Virtue and sin are the opposites in the world. It is not a physical presence but something that determines a person’s values. Virtue and sin are called Paap and Punya, respectively. However, Sadhguru breaks the common notions about paap and punya.
Paap and Punya
He says that paap is something that leads to death while punya leads to life. Here death does not mean actual death but death from truly living one’s life. Punya means becoming closer to life.
Sadhguru talks about the importance of Punya pooja
Sadhguru says that punya is an “endless state of effervescence”, meaning that life is something to be experienced in all ways. Death is inevitable, therefore, passive drifting will not make life meaningful. Life can only be made meaningful if one chooses to experience everything that it has to offer such as sunrise, full moon and so on. Moreover, consuming life, such as legumes and vegetables also gives you life.
