is it possible to get things done at the workplace without getting angry? Is being nice and naive all the time going to help get things done when running a company or business? Most people live in this conflict at workplaces where they are worried about which approach to take and everything that surrounds it. Moreover, this is especially common in modern times which are highly competitive and there is a clear corporate and social ladder to climb. However, according to Sadhguru, this method of viewing your professional life is very wrong and detrimental to the company, yourself and everyone around you.
Sadhguru weighs in on being a professional
When asked about professionalism and anger, Sadhguru says that a person’s job is to do his job with utmost enthusiasm and curiosity. A professional is often looked at as someone who is emotionally detached from his work. If the person is not emotional with his work, he is professional, which is how generally people think. However, Sadhguru says that an amateur who is just starting will have the utmost enthusiasm and a genuine sense of curiosity for the work. He does not care about the reward or hold any expectations apart from learning new things. However, someone who is a professional, who has been doing this for a long time, will be detached and uninterested in his work.
Sadhguru talks about the importance of involvement
Sadhguru says that the life of a professional is meaningless and barren. There has to be involvement in whatever you do that brings out your best performance. it is okay to not know everything if you are willing to volunteer. He reflects on talking about anger. Sadhguru says that anger will happen when you think people are not doing things up to the mark. However, if everyone is involved in their jobs then this issue is really unlikely to happen. Therefore, the key is to show your involvement in whatever you do.
