Sadhguru warns against casual sex, explains how it can affect body, genetics

Sadhguru on Casual Sex

Sadhguru: In current times, polygamy, the practice of having more than one sexual partner has become common. The growing trend of casual sex or sex on the first date is also an emerging phenomenon. In Indian culture, polygamy is not a socially acceptable practice, however, generation Z or Gen Z, could have otherwise beliefs. The trend of making physical relations with more than one person for the sake of pleasure seems to be ‘in’. Recently, spiritual guru Sadhguru shared his thoughts on casual sex and polygamy.

Sadhguru on casual sex

During his recent visit to a girls’ college, the Spiritual guru was urged to share his views on the rapidly increasing trend of casual sex. Responding to this, Sadhguru openly expressed his views and explained how this “casual” physical intimacy can have its own consequences.

The spiritual guru said that the body remembers everything genetically. It stays together in the form of genes, skin colour, anatomy etc. He shared that the body becomes familiar with human touches and has the ability to distinguish people just on the basis of their touch.

Memories are attached to the body

Sadhguru explained that when a sexual or any kind of intimate relationship is established, involving thoughts, physical touch and feelings, a large number of memories are attached to the body.

Making conscious choices for your body

While what one chooses to do with their body is an individual approach, the physical memories can haunt some people. So, the question here is not about ethics but about what decisions you want to make for your body.

The Spiritual Guru further reflected on how one can be severely affected in the future by their current choices. Therefore, while making physical choices, one must be conscious of how these decisions can affect the generations to come.
