- During Navratri, lighting an Akhand Jyoti is seen to be highly auspicious since it brings happiness and wealth to the household. Maintain the Akhand Jyoti on the right side of the Kalash, per Vastu Shastra. In addition, maintaining the orientation of the house of worship toward the southeast ensures contentment in life.
- Worshiping Navratri in the east and north is regarded as auspicious. Worshiping in this path leads to success in work and advancement in life.
- During Navratri, it is common to worship Goddess Durga. The goddess Durga idol should be kept in the northeast corner of the room, according to Vastu Shastra. The southeast should be used to store materials for Navratri pujas in order to preserve Goddess Durga’s blessings.
- Vastu Shastra states that on Navratri, the main gate should be decorated with the Swastika emblem. By doing this, good fortune is attained and the household is kept happy and peaceful. With this, negativity from home also disappears.
- As per the principles of Vastu Shastra, a house that maintains cleanliness is said to be blessed by Mother Durga. Things like broken mirrors, outdated furniture, and clothing should be thrown aside during Navratri.
