Vastu Tips: Vastu Shastra is a very necessary thing in everyone’s life because it makes several things easy in people’s life. Several people follow Vastu Shastra to get ideal and on-point solutions to their problems. If you want to have a Pooja room in your flat, you should keep several things in mind before doing that. Vastu Shastra has suggested several tips to do that and you can check it here.
Avoid Keeping Your Idols against the Wall
Vastu experts recommend not to keep your idols against the wall in your pooja room. This is because it is critical to enable air to circulate your idols. Leave a half-inch gap between your heroes and the wall. This allows the incense to travel around the space, leaving it aromatic.
Broken Idols are Unlucky
Keeping broken or fractured idols of gods and praying to them is deemed unlucky. This can result in vastu doshas in your pooja room. However, try not to get rid of them too quickly. Idols that have been damaged should be immersed in holy rivers or placed under a peepul tree.
Your Idols Should Be Oriented North-East
Your idols should never face each other, according to Pooja Room Vastu. Instead, keep in mind that the preferred god-facing direction is north-east.
Do Not Display Photographs of the Deceased
It is against vastu principles to keep garlanded images of deceased relatives in the pooja room. Avoid storing photos of them in this area. Instead, experts advise placing such images toward the south or southwest corner of your home.
The Living Room has an Excellent Location
The living room is the best option out of all the rooms to consider, with the kitchen as a secondary option (if it faces northeast). For the greatest outcomes, situate your pooja room in an area that is well-lit and well-ventilated.
Metallic accents are ideal
Metals are sonorous, and the sounds they make are known to dissipate negative energy, according to Vastu suggestions. For your puja room, use metallic materials. Furthermore, having a water body at home is beneficial to Vastu, so bring in a small water bowl with flowers and diyas for extra luck.
Don’t Move Your Pooja Room Up Above Ground
Your pooja room is best suited for you on the ground floor, according to Vastu Shastra. The location of your mandir should be apart from your restroom and bathroom.
As you pray, turn to face the east
When we pray, which way should we face? The East has the solution. If facing east isn’t a possibility, you can still pray, but it’s not recommended to face south because it’s unlucky.
Lamps and Candles Are Needed
It is customary to light candles and lamps in the pooja room. Pooja room vastu principles state that this helps ward off evil forces.
