Lakme Fashion Show: The Institute of Fashion and Jewellery Design (IFJD) held a fashion show on Sunday, and some models were visually impaired. The girls strutted down the runway confidently in exquisite costumes and elegant black-laced headpiece during the Rajkot, Gujarat, and fashion show. According to Jhanvi, a participant, the girls practiced their walk for roughly 15 to 20 days before to the presentation.
Other participants also joined them
She was reported by news agency ANI as adding, “I was delighted to take part in the fashion show. We practiced for around 15-20 days. Team members from the Institute of Fashion and Jewellery Design forced us to practice and thoroughly taught us everything. We sincerely appreciate everything they’ve done.” The girls were joined halfway by other participants before walking the runway solo in their magnificent dresses, waving to the crowd and striking a grin. Glimpses of the fashion show were published on ANI’s Twitter feed.
Institute of Fashion and Jewellery Design announced the fashion show
While the video’s caption read, “Visually impaired girls walk the runway at the Lakme fashion show organised by the Institute of Fashion and Jewellery Design, in Rajkot yesterday,” the agency later clarified, “The fashion show was organised by IFJD – Institute of Fashion & Jewellery Design and was not the Lakme fashion show as reported earlier.”
The girls belonged to the VD Parekh Andh Mahila Vikas Graha. “When we heard the cheers from the crowd, we realised that we had done a wonderful job and were happy,” said Isha, another participant who walked the ramp.
