2 in Pakistan among 11 named by NIA for killing Kanhaiya tailor in Rajasthan

Tailor Kanhaiyalal was brutally murdered by two assailants in Rajasthan’s Udaipur following a dispute involving BJP leader Nupur Sharma. The NIA was probing the matter. A charge sheet has been filed by the NIA against 11 accused in the case. In its charge sheet, the NIA has told that the accused had carried out the murder with the intention of spreading fear.

Chargesheet has been filed more than 160 days after the incident

The charge sheet has been filed by the NIA on 168 days of the murder of Taylor Kanhaiyalal in Udaipur. Mohammad Riaz and Gaus Mohammad have been made the main accused in the charge sheet. According to media reports, a charge sheet has been filed by NIA against the accused under NSA. In which the next hearing will be on January 3.

All accused part of terror module

According to the NIA chargesheet, the probe has pointed to a conspiracy on the part of 11 accused. All these accused were part of a terror module. Also, all the accused used to post objectionable material to promote radicalism in the country. The chargesheet also claimed that the co-accused was called in 2014 by a Karachi-based organization to join a radical outfit. Where he met senior officials of the organization.

Dawat-e-Islami organization advocates Sharia law

The mission of the Karachi-based Dawat-e-Islami organization is to spread the teachings of the Quran and Sharia and advocate for Sharia globally. It has a large following in Pakistan and supports blasphemy laws there. Apart from Riyaz Attari and Gaus, a charge sheet has also been filed against two Pakistani nationals Salman and Abu Ibrahim in the charge sheet by the NI.

According to the investigating officers, Karachi-based Salman had allegedly instigated Riyaz and Gaus to avenge the insult of the Prophet. After which both of them killed Kanhaiyalal in Udaipur. The purpose of both was also to create fear in the society.
