2 soldiers among 5 killed as J&K, Ladakh receive heavy rains

For the third day in a row, Ladakh and Jammu & Kashmir were devastated by heavy rainfall and unseasonal snowfall, which resulted in the deaths of five people, including two army personnel.

The two army personnel died after being washed away by flash floods while attempting to cross a stream in the Poonch area, a defence spokeswoman informed news agency PTI.

Amir Sohail and Mudassar Ali, two bus passengers, were tragically killed in a separate event that occurred along the Bhangrooon Thathri-Gandoh village road in Doda. Vinod Sharma, superintendent of police for Bhaderwah, has stated that another passenger suffered injuries and was safely rescued.
