Two engineering students in Bengaluru have been booked for chanting ‘Pakistan zindabad’ slogans at a college event. According to police sources, the incident happened at an inter-campus festival at a private engineering college while students were screaming the names of their favourite IPL cricket teams.
When other students objected and attempted to stop them, the two minors who were shouting “Pakistan zindabad” at the same time stopped.
A different student took the footage and posted it to Instagram. After the video went viral, the college launched an investigation, requested letters of regret from the pair, and suspended them.

A case has been registered in accordance with Indian Penal Code sections 153 (provocation with intent to cause riot) and 505(1)B (with intent to cause fear to the public). The parents of the two students have been contacted by the Karnataka Police, and more investigation is being conducted.
