In Shimla, on July 24 and 25, a commemorative ceremony will be organised by the Army Training Command ARTAC) at the Ridge. Military equipment on display, free medical camp, and an exhibition on ‘Know Your Army’ will be the highlights of this event. Poetry recitation by schoolchildren, a cultural programme on Kargil Diwas at the multipurpose hall of Gaiety Theatre, will also portray the bravery of jawans and richness of India’s culture through its variety of cultural performances.

While the Indian Air Force is celebrating ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas Rajat Jayanti’ from 12 to 26 July at Air Force Station Sarsawa, the celebrations began with a poignant wreath-laying ceremony led by Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari on 13 July. Among others, top officials, veterans, and families of the brave air warriors attended it, underlining that the air force still cares for its heroes.
