Three terrorists were neutralised by security forces in the encounter that broke out late Thursday evening in Jammu and Kashmir’s Zolwa Kralpora Chadoora area of Budgam, said IGP Kashmir, Vijay Kumar on Friday.
The gunfight between the terrorists and security forces started on Thursday after a joint team of the police and the security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation on the basis of specific information about the presence of terrorists.
As the security forces zeroed in on the spot where the terrorists were hiding they came under a heavy volume of fire that triggered the encounter.
On December 4 2021, a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist was arrested and arms and ammunition were recovered from his possession in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.
