36 Devotees of Bageshwar Dham Chief lose gold chains during his event

Gold ornaments worth lakhs of devotees have been stolen in the divine court of Dhirendra Krishna Shastri of Bageshwar Dham Sarkar. The two-day event by Dhirendra Krishna Shastri was held from March 18 to March 19 at Salasar Central Park Ground, Mira Road, Mumbai. Gold chains of about 36 devotees of self-styled godman Dhirendra Krishna Shastri were stolen during the two-day program. Mumbai Police has registered a case in the matter and started investigation. Now the devotees whose gold ornaments were stolen have shared their pain.

There was a crowd of more than 2 lakh devotees

Mira Road police officials said that the quantity of gold ornaments stolen was huge and they are ascertaining it. He told that more than two lakh devotees had participated in the divine court of Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, in which there was chaos. In which a woman was injured. Such an atmosphere was created due to lack of management to handle such a huge crowd.

For Sunday’s event, the police had tightened security at the entry points of the venue. According to the police officials, there was a stampede-like situation, so their focus was on handling the stampede-like situation. He was afraid that no one would get seriously hurt.

‘I had come to remove my daughter’s pain…’

Mira Road resident Sunita Gawli, a devotee and one of the complainants, who came to the divine court of Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, said that her two-year-old daughter was running ill for the past several days. She had seen videos of Dhirendra Krishna Shastri’s healing powers diagnosing and curing diseases on her mobile phone and decided to put her daughter’s name in the chit.

Sunita Gawli said, “I was hoping that Baba would choose my daughter’s name and cure her. I had come to get a parcha from Baba but instead my mangalsutra was robbed which was the only gold ornament I had.’

What did the Mumbai Police say on the whole issue?

This program organized by Shantaben Mithalal Jain Charitable Trust was also opposed by some anti-superstition organizations.
