Five terrorists of the active militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba (Let) and Jaish-e-Mohammed(JeM) were killed overnight in two separate encounters in Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam and Pulwama districts, police said on Sunday.
Kumar said that JeM commander Zahid Wani and a Pakistani terrorist were among the killed, calling it a big success for security forces. A total of 21 terrorists, including eight from Pakistan, have been killed in 11 encounters this month so far, he added.
The search for one more Pakistani terrorist in Jammu and Kashmir is still on, as per the reports. IGP Kashmir further added, “One local terrorist affiliated to LeT was killed in Budgam. An AK 56 rifle has also been recovered in the operation.”

Kashmir Zone Police informed on Saturday evening that an encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in the Naira area of Pulwama. A total of four terrorists were killed in the overnight operation in the south Kashmir’s district.
