5G: The National Broadband Mission of the government tweeted on Saturday that the introduction of 5G services in India will take place at the India Mobile Congress at Pragati Maidan on October 1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will host an event to announce the 5G services, according to the National Broadband Mission.
India is preparing for the launch of 5G services by October, according to Electronics and Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw’s statement from a few days ago. The services will be expanded following the inauguration, the Union Minister added.

When speaking at a gathering last week, Ashwini Vaishnaw remarked, “It should be emphasised that many nations took many years to get 40% to 50% coverage, therefore the 5G journey will be quite interesting. However, the Government has set a target of 80% coverage in a short period of time, and we should unquestionably reach that level in a very short period of time. This is a really ambitious pace.”

The Union Minister had instructed operators to prepare for the launch of 5G services following the release of spectrum allocation letters in August. On Twitter, the telecom minister wrote: “sent a letter assigning spectrum. asking TSPs to get ready for the advent of 5G “.
In exchange for the spectrum, they recently won in an auction, service providers Bharti Airtel, Reliance Jio, Adani Data Networks, and Vodafone Idea paid the DoT about 17,876 crores.
A record 1.5 lakh crore worth of bids were submitted for the nation’s largest-ever telecom spectrum auction, with Mukesh Ambani’s Jio winning nearly half of the airwaves sold with a bid of 87,946.93 crore.
