6 members of family found dead under mysterious circumstances in Udaipur

Punjab

Rajasthan: In Udaipur six family members—including four children—were found dead on Monday. The cause of their deaths is unknown. The couple’s and their four children’s bodies were found in a room of the house in Gogunda town. A woman and one of the kids were found with wounds on the floor. The rest were hanging from the ceiling.

Prakash Gameti, his wife Durga Gameti, and their four young children have been identified as the deceased. Police believe that before hanging himself and the others with a scarf and his wife’s saree, Prakash strangled his wife and one of the children to death. It is being looked into.

Economic condition of family was not good

According to Kundan Kanwariya, Additional SP, Prakash used to work in Gujarat and used to sell food on buses. Prima facie, it appears that the economic condition of the family was not good, the officer said.

“Most evidence suggests suicide but the body of Prakash’s wife was lying on the floor along with one of the kids,” he added.

The police believe Prakash killed his wife and one of the kids first, then used their mother’s scarf and saree to hang himself and the others.
