May is a joyous month for Bharatiya Janata Party as it was when Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government came into power nine years ago. Know as the daredevil chief minister of Gujarat, Narendra Modi was elected Prime Minister following BJP’s win 2014 general elections, ending Congress’ 10-year reign.
During the course of the last nine-year, PM Modi spearheaded various programs and initiatives, bringing about major changes in the health and education sectors. The last four years as the Prime Minister came with unprecedented challenges with the Covid-19 pandemic hitting the world. However, every battle was fought with the saffron outfit with grit and determination under the able leadership of PM Modi.
To mark these glorious nine years of PM Modi’s government, the BJP is palming to hold over 50 rallies between the month of May and June. It is also reported that BJP National President JP Nadda will also hold a press conference on the achievements of the Modi government.

Covid-19 vaccination drive
India’s Covid-19 vaccination is widely appreciated across the world. During the difficult times, smooth and free-of-cost vaccination drives were conducted across the country, ensuring every citizen of the country is immunized with at least two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine. The BJP government’s decision to vaccinate the elderly, healthcare professionals, frontline workers, and those with comorbidities saved many lives.
Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana
The Modi government introduced Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana in 2015, which offers everyone access to inexpensive homes. According to the information available as of the end of March 2020, the programme has provided homes for more than 2 crore people.
Abrogation of Article 370
One of the most important geopolitical decisions made by PM Modi’s govt was to abolish Kashmir’s special status. A petition to terminate the special status given to Kashmir under Article 370 was submitted to Parliament on August 5, 2019, by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. As a result, Jammu and Kashmir would be subject to the same laws as the rest of India under the Indian Constitution.
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi is an initiative by the Modi government that give farmers up to ₹6,000 per year as minimum income support. The initiative was announced by Piyush Goyal during the 2019 Interim Union Budget of India on 1 February 2019.
Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav
Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav marks the 75th Anniversary of the Independence of India. The commemoration was celebrated through a series of events organised by the Government of India. There are five themes of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav — Freedom Struggle, Ideas@75, Resolve@75, Actions@75, and Achievements @75.
