PM Modi US Visit: A star-studded State Dinner for Prime Minister Narendra Modi was given by US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden, and it was attended by the crème de la crème of the Indian industry. Mukesh and Nita Ambani, Nikhil Kamath, the co-founder of Zerodha, and Anand Mahindra were all present. The list also included business titans of Indian descent like Sundar Pichai of Google, Satya Nadella of Microsoft, Shantanu Narayen of Adobe, Indra Nooyi of erstwhile PepsiCo, and director M Night Shyamalan. Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, and Ralph Lauren, a fashion designer, also attended the State Dinner.
Distinguished Guests and Diplomats Convene
NSA Ajit Doval, Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra, Indian American congressmen Ro Khanna, Raja Krishnamoorthi, Pramila Jayapal, Shri Thanedar, and Ami Bera were also present at the State Dinner along with External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar.
Up to 400 people were invited to the dinner, which was held on the South Lawn of the White House and had an Indian-inspired theme. The Indian Tricolour was among the decorations that honoured Indian tradition and culture as well as those of the US and India.

Exquisite Menu and Bilateral Commitments Highlight PM Modi’s State Dinner
The first course included marinated millet, grilled corn kernel salad, compressed watermelon and a tangy avocado sauce.
The main course included stuffed portobello mushrooms and a creamy risotto with saffron. Additionally available upon request were meals like summer squashes, sumac-roasted sea bass, lemon-dill yoghurt sauce, and crisped millet cakes. Strawberry shortcake flavoured with rose and cardamom was offered for dessert. The Stone Tower Chardonnay ‘Kristi’ 2021, PATEL Red Blend 2019, and Domaine Carneros Brut Rose were the wines on the list. A joint statement was released by PM Modi and President Biden. “The US-India trade and investment partnership is an engine for global growth, with bilateral trade exceeding $191 billion in 2022, nearly doubling from 2014,” they claimed. In addition, they urged their respective sectors to implement the CEOs’ proposals for creating a robust supply chain for new and sustainable energy technology.
