The Aam Aadmi Party on Tuesday alleged that a policeman ‘misbehaved’ with former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia while he was being presented before the Rouse Avenue Court. The former DY CM was produced before the court in a money laundering case related to the policy excise scam.
AAP Condemns Delhi Police
AAP leader Atishi took to Twitter to post a video from Rouse Avenue Court, where Delhi’s former deputy chief minister was being produced Tuesday. “Shocking misbehavior by this policeman with Manish in Rouse Avenue Court. Delhi Police should suspend him immediately,” she said.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also took to Twitter to slam the incident and wrote, “Does the police have the right to misbehave with Manish Sisodia like this? Has the police been instructed to do this?”

Senior AAP leader Sanjay Singh said that the Delhi Police “misbehaved” with Sisodia in order to “please their boss.” The court will take the cognizance of the incident, he said.
“Police hooliganism at its peak. This police officer was pulling Manish Sisodia by his neck in order to please his boss. Hon’ble court should take cognizance of this incident. Modi ji, the whole country is watching your dictatorship,” Singh said.
The country will “never forget such misbehavior” AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj said.

Manish Sisodia custody extended
The judicial custody of former Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia has been extended till June 1.
During the brief proceedings on Tuesday, the Rouse Avenue court directed the jail superintendent to consider Manish Sisodia’s application in which he had sought an exchange of books that he had completed reading during his period in custody with a new set of books approved but eh court.
His request for a table and chair in the prison cell has also been in consideration.
