Bulli Bai App Case: Mumbai Police has arrested 18-year-old Shweta Singh from Uttarakhand in the ‘Bulli Bai’ app case. Earlier, another accused Vishal Kumar was also arrested in this case. In this way, the police have arrested a total of two people in the case. Shweta is being told as the main accused in the case.

Who is the accused Shweta Singh?
She is a resident of Uttarakhand and she is being told as the mastermind in the case. Shweta had uploaded pictures of women on Bulli Bai App. Shweta’s age is only 18 years. She was arrested from Udham Singh Nagar district of Uttarakhand.
Shweta parents are no longer in this world. She lost her father to COVID-19 last year, while earlier she lost her mother to cancer. She has an elder sister who is a graduate in commerce, while she has a younger sister and brother who are currently studying in the school. Shweta herself was preparing for the engineering entrance exam.
It is being told that Shweta was working on the instructions of a social media friend based in Nepal. Sources in the investigation team said that according to the information received from Shweta Singh, who was caught in the Bulli Bai App case, a Nepali citizen named Jiau was instructing her about the activities to be done on the app. At present, the police are probing the role of the alleged Nepali national and others associated with Shweta.
It is also being investigated that who and what helped Shweta. She will be brought to Mumbai today and may be produced for remand in Bandra Metropolitan Magistrate Court.
Shweta’s name was revealed by Vishal Kumar, another accused arrested earlier from Bangalore, who is an engineering second year student.
Vishal-Shweta were in touch with each other
Vishal said that he was in touch with Shweta and Shweta was in touch with people who were working on all the activities related to Bullibai app. She was taking instructions from someone sitting in Nepal.

At the same time, Mumbai Police officials are also investigating Vishal’s role in the Sulli Deals incident, which came to light before the Bulli Bai App in 2021. Vishal is accused of editing photographs of women from a particular community and then uploading them on the app.
Use of fake twitter handle
Shweta Singh was using a fake Twitter handle named JattKhalsa07. Hate posts and objectionable pictures were being posted from this handle. Bulli Bai app targeted 100 women with a strong presence on Twitter and Facebook.

Muslim women are being targeted on an app named Bulli Bai. Hate and dirty things are being written against them on the app. Actually, Bulli Bai works on the same lines as the Sulli Deal App came a few time ago. Sulli deal was launched on Github, now Bulli Bai has also been launched on Github.
