Neeraj Chopra: India’s star athlete Neeraj once again secured yet another gold for the country, also marking the first ever at the World Athletics Championships 2023. His success comes just four days after ISRO’s Chandrayaan-3 landed on the moon, causing a global stir. The spacecraft was the first ever successful mission that landed on the south pole of the moon. Both the events notched up global headlines, also, irking similar reactions from the neighbouring country and arch-rivals Pakistan.
India’s monumental success and the neighbouring nation
Several videos went viral across social media, showing reactions from the common folks of Pakistan to both events. However, a similar point in both events was that it had a common reaction of people criticising their own government. Chandrayaan-3‘s landing drew global attendance as it touched down the moon’s surface on 23rd August. Though both the achievements are of severe importance to South Asia in a whole, things are always bound to get more tense when they involve India & Pakistan.
Another amusing this is, that Neeraj Chopra beat Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem to secure the gold with a throw of 88.17 metres in the tournament’s finale whereas Arshad won a silver medal for his throw of 87.82 metres. Though the gap was very narrow but it once again created a tense situation as the world was witnessing another moment of IND vs PAK.
