After Ranbir Kapoor, Kapil Sharma, Huma Qureshi, Hina Khan summoned in the Mahadev App Case; Here’s what we know

After Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor, the problems of comedian Kapil Sharma, actress Huma Qureshi and TV actress Hina Khan have also increased. It has been reported by sources that they have also been summoned to appear before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the Mahadev App case. The three are not charged in the investigation and have been summoned before the agency’s Raipur headquarters on several dates, according to authorities.

The agency will record their statements in accordance with the terms of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) and investigate the manner and flow of payment allegedly made to them by the app’s sponsors.

Ranbir Kapoor promoted the Mahadev App

Ranbir Kapoor, who has appeared in multiple ads supporting the app, was summoned to testify before the financial investigation agency on Friday. According to the investigation agency, he was handed a big sum of money in exchange, which came from the proceeds of a crime. According to the agency, the Mahadev Online Book App, which is at the centre of the dispute, is an umbrella gang that arranges online platforms for illicit betting websites to recruit new customers, generate user IDs, and launder money through a tiered network of benami bank accounts.

The owners were making 200 crore per day

Sourabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal are two huge names in the dark world of internet betting, with a network that spans not just India but also the UAE, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Pakistan. The two accused are from Chhattisgarh’s Bhilai and, strangely, Chandrakar used to own a juice business, while Uppal used to own a tyre shop. With their cash, the two travelled to Dubai, where they met a sheikh and a Pakistani national, who finally collaborated to launch the online betting app. Chandrakar and Uppal quickly established a “name” for themselves in the betting community. According to the ED, the two established a network of around 4,000 panel operators.Soon after, the two were earning at least Rs. 200 crore.
