Ahmedabad News: Around Nine people including a Policemen lost his life when a speeding Jaquar crashed into the ISCKON bridge in Ahmedabad. According to eyewitnesses the car was running at a speed of around 160km/ hour. There were some people already gathered at the accident site as another accident took place at the same location few hours ago. The driver of the speeding car also sustained serious injuries in the accident.
Gujarat CM announces Rs 4 lakh compensation
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel also announces Rs 4 lakh compensation to the family of the deceased and Rs 50000 for the injured ones. The Gujarat Chief Minister shares the condolences through Twitter, I pray to God for the speedy recovery of the injured people in the accident. The flyover near the ISCKON temple has been temporarily shut following the accident. The accident took place around 1am in the night on the Sarkhej-Gandhinagar Highway.
‘Driver was driving into a high speed which led to the accident‘
Four people who were hit by the speeding vehicle had died during the treatment in the hospital. The deceased includes a Home Jawan and a constable. According to the police, the driver was not under the influence of alcohol but it seems he was driving in a high speed. Most of the injured and deceased belonged to other cities.
