The 27-year-old air force cadet was discovered hanging in his dorm room on Wednesday, according to the authorities. A seven-page letter that purportedly identified six persons, including an air commodore, a group captain, and a wing commander, was also found in the hostel room, leading the police to initially believe it was a suicide case.

However, the cadet’s family claimed that he was murdered because he was distraught over being released from the military after a disciplinary investigation.
