Jio will offer better inside coverage: Akash Ambani
Jio, which is run by Akash Ambani, asserts that it is the only provider of deep inside coverage thanks to its 700 MHz low-band spectrum. The company further asserts that its 5G network is completely independent of its current 4G network.
The two largest telecom companies in India have just soft-launched their 5G services. This comes after spectrum auctions in which 51,236 MHz was allotted to telecom service providers. By 2035, the government projects that India’s total economic benefits from 5G will amount to $450 billion.
