In view of the outbreak of Corona virus pandemic, Allahabad High Court has ordered the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh to put a lockdown in five Corona affected cities by 26 April. The High Court has ordered a lockdown in Varanasi, Kanpur Nagar, Prayagraj, Lucknow and Gorakhpur by April 26.
However, the Yogi government has refused to accept this order of the court. On behalf of the Yogi government, it was said that the government has taken many steps to curb the corona, further strict steps are being taken. Along with saving lives, the livelihood of the poor is also to be saved. In such a situation, the entire lockdown in the cities will not be done yet, people are automatically seizing many places with enthusiasm.
Earlier, the court had directed the Chief Secretary of UP to supervise himself. This order given by the court will be applicable from tonight. During this time, no shops, hotels, offices and public places will be opened in these cities except shops with essential services. There is also a ban on worship and events in temples. The court gave strict instructions to the UP government.
According to the order issued by the court, everything will be closed except for economic institutions, medical and health services, industrial and scientific institutions and institutions with essential services in Prayagraj, Lucknow, Varanasi, Kanpur Nagar and Gorakhpur. All shopping malls and complexes will be closed till 26 April.
All grocery shops and other commercial shops on which more than three people work will remain closed. Hotel restaurants and food carts will also be closed till April 26. All educational and other institutions of the state will also be closed till 26 April. This order is also applicable for teachers, instructors and other staff. No social function and event is allowed until 26 April.
Marriages which are already scheduled will have to take permission from the District Magistrates of the respective district. Only 25 people will be allowed to come here. During this time, all religious activities will also be banned. Till 26 April, those selling vegetables, fruits, milkmen and bread do not have to stay on the streets after 11 o’clock in the morning
