According to officials, 40 pilgrims were riding the bus back to Punjab‘s Hoshiarpur. When the car got to Nachalana, which is close to Banihal, they reported the driver failed to stop it because the brakes had failed. Several passengers reportedly leaped off the speeding bus, according to officials. Three ladies and a toddler were among the ten pilgrims who suffered injuries.
Army and Police Swiftly Act to Prevent Bus Disaster
He said that when the army and police saw the pilgrims jumping off the moving bus, they put stones under the tires to prevent the vehicle from sliding into the river.
