Union Home Minister Amit Shah expressed displeasure over the uproar from the opposition on the issue of India-China clash in Parliament. He said that the opposition did not allow the Question Hour to run in the Lok Sabha today. I condemn this act. He targeted the Congress for the whole ruckus. Also commented on the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, accusing the Congress of having links with China.
Earlier, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi clearly said that the Defense Minister would give a statement in the Parliament on the skirmish between the Indian-China army, yet the Parliament was disrupted. On this, Amit Shah said that Congress has a double attitude on China. Indian soldiers had driven out the Chinese soldiers in no time. Not an inch of India’s land has been encroached upon. Attacking the Congress, Shah said that India’s membership in the Security Council was sacrificed because of Nehru’s love for China. In 1962, China grabbed thousands of hectares of land.”
Home Minister said, “I understood their (Congress’s) concern after seeing question number 5 in the list of Question Hour
Making serious allegations against the Congress, he said that the Congress gets huge amount from China. Rajiv Gandhi Foundation got money from China. The Home Minister said, “I understood their (Congress’s) concern after seeing question number 5 in the list of Question Hour. The question was regarding cancellation of the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) license of the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation. If they would allow, I would have replied in Parliament that the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation received a grant of Rs 1.35 crore from the Chinese Embassy during the financial year 2005-2007, which was not justified as per FCRA, so the Ministry of Home Affairs followed the legal process. Its registration has been cancelled.
