The Delhi Police has arrested another accused in the case of violence on the Red Fort. This protestor took part in the tractor parade carried out on Republic Day with a sword and stood on the Red Fort and was holding a sword. Police has also recovered two swords from the accused.

According to the information, the accused was arrested late Tuesday night from Pitampura. The accused has been identified as Maninder Singh alias Moni. It has been revealed that Moni lives in Swaroop Nagar area of Delhi, which is a car AC mechanic. Maninder Singh is accused of violence, sabotage and violence on policemen inside the Red Fort.
Maninder Singh has also revealed that he had inspired 6 people from his home town of Swarup Nagar to participate in the tractor rally. These 6 people rode on the bike with a tractor rally going from Singhu border to Tomb Chowk
Delhi Police said that Maninder Singh along with 5 of his companions and other miscreants entered the Red Fort and committed fencing. This fencing encouraged the miscreants and started attacking the police. According to the information, Maninder Singh runs a school of fencing in Swaroop Nagar itself. A video of fencing done at the Red Fort has also been found from his phone.
During the tractor parade of farmers in the national capital on Republic Day, there was a clash between farmers and policemen. Meanwhile, some protesters reached the Red Fort carrying tractors. Some of them went inside and placed a religious flag on the ramparts of this historic building. Around 500 policemen were injured and one demonstrator was killed in the violence.
Delhi Police has registered 44 cases in the violence case on 26 January. So far 143 accused have been arrested. Seven people have been granted conditional bail by the court.
