A Pakistani terrorist, who was arrested during an infiltration attempt about 15 days ago, died of a heart attack on Saturday at a military hospital in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district.
The officials gave this information. Tabarak Hussain (32), a resident of Sabzkot village of Kotli in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), was arrested for the second time in the last six years on August 21 while trying to infiltrate into India from across the border.
Hussain, a trained member of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and agent of the Pakistani Army, was shot dead by Indian soldiers while he was arrested and was seriously injured. He was then shifted to an army hospital where he underwent surgery and the soldiers donated three units of blood to save his life.
He died of a heart attack late Saturday evening, an army official said. The terrorist’s body will be handed over to the police on Sunday to complete the legal formalities.
