In the newly constructed Ayodhya Ram Mandir, the consecration ceremony was organized and it was attended by several celebrities. Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed the consecration ceremony in the Ayodhya temple as the chief guest during this period, and not only Ayodhya but the entire country became excited. However, the festive mood of the country was ruined by the arrest of a man who was accused of placing a Pakistani flag on an image of the Ayodhya Ram temple.
Police arrest man for editing picture of Ayodhya Ram Mandir
A person from the Gadag district of Karnataka was arrested on Monday, according to police, after posting an offensive photo of the Ram temple in Ayodhya on social media. ‘Babri Masjid’ is written below the Ram temple and Pakistani flags are displayed above it in the widely shared Facebook post. Pro-Hindu activists in Gadag filed a police complaint after the post went viral, demanding that the accused should be taken into custody. Following this, in the course of investigating the complaint, the police detained Tajuddin Dafedar and removed the accused’s social media posts.
Here’s what the accused said
Babasab Nemagaud, the superintendent of police in Gadag, said, “The accused is a citizen of Gadag. We are looking into whether it’s connected to any particular group. He’s been taken into custody.” The suspect admitted to the police during questioning that he unintentionally shared the Facebook post after seeing it. Additional investigation is currently underway.
