Ayodhya Ram Mandir: Up until January 21, there will be preparations for the momentous “Pran Pratistha” ceremony at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to be the main guest at the official opening of the Ram Mandir on January 22.
Temple Trust Announcements
Over 7,000 people are expected to attend the historic event, including politicians, businesspeople, saints, and celebrities, according to the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra (Ram Mandir trust). In addition, the consecration event is anticipated to include up to 100 representatives from other nations.
The Temple Trust declared on Monday that all of the golden doors in the ‘Garbhgriha of Bhagwan Shri Ramlalla Sarkar’ had been installed. Notably, the Ram Lalla sculpture by Arun Yogiraj, a sculptor from Mysuru, has been selected for installation at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
Preventive Measures Urged
In a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, TMC MP Dibyendu Adhikari expressed worries about possible violence during the Ram Mandir’s “pran pratishtha” on January 22. On Wednesday, the late singer Lata Mangeshkar’s “shlok” was shared by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Sharing the video on X, he wrote, “As the nation awaits 22nd January with great enthusiasm, one of the people who will be missed is our beloved Lata Didi. Here is a ‘shlok’ she sung. Her family told me that it was the last ‘shlok’ she recorded.”
Temple Preparations Begin
Tuesday’s ceremonies at the temple complex marked the start of the preparations for the consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir on January 22. These rites will stay in place through January 21. The important ceremonies for the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ (consecration) of the Ram Lalla idol will happen on January 22, as general secretary Champat Rai of the temple trust told media on Monday.
“The ‘anushthan’ has started and will go on until January 22, the day of the consecration ceremony. Eleven priests are performing the rituals, invoking all the ‘devis and devtas’ (goddesses and gods),” explained Ram temple chief priest Acharya Satyendra Das.
