Bageshwar Dham Baba: Pandit Dhirendra Shastri of Bageshwar Dham has received death threats. Amid his latest controversy, it is yet another setback for the self-styled godman. Reportedly, he received threat via a phone call. The police have registered a case in this regard and started investigation.
Bageshwar Nath Baba receives death threat
According to the information, Dhirendra Shastri has been threatened by an unknown phone call. A case has been registered against an unknown person on behalf of Dhirendra Shastri’s younger brother Lokesh Garg at Bamitha police station in Chhatarpur. The police is probing the matter. As of now, Dhirendra Baba is holding his court in Chhattisgarh’s Raipur.
Case filed
Chhatarpur SP Sachin Sharma has confirmed the registration of the case. He told that the name of the accused is Amar Singh. An FIR has been registered against Amar Singh under section 506, 507 at police station Bamitha. Police is looking for the accused.
Earlier, Shyam Manav of the Andhashraddha Nirmulan Samiti, who challenged Dhirendra Shastri, had also received death threats. His security has been beefed up after receiving threats. Shyam Manav accused Dhirendra Shastri of promoting superstition.
Shyam Manav challenged Dhirendra Shastri to set up a divine court in Nagpur. Shyam had said that if Dhirendra Shastri would hold a divine court among them and perform miracles, he would give him 30 lakh rupees. It is alleged that Dhirendra Shastri ran away leaving the court incomplete.
