Bengal News: Governor discuss smooth filing of papers
The state Election Commissioner of Bengal has been summoned by the Bengal Governor C V Ananda Bose amidst the violence over the Panchayat Polls. The Governor also asked if there are enough forces in the state to ensure peace and fair elections. The Governor also enquired about the security arrangement in the state after the incidents of violence in the state. The Governor said that there have been reports of violence and arson in the state since the filing of nominations have begun.

Bengal Governor: We will not tolerate any lapses
Governor said that he is keeping an eye on the entire situation and ensured he will not accept any lapses if more cases of violence are reported. Also if the state needs more forces then they can contemplate disposal of armed forces. Trinamool Congress and opposition parties also indulged in violence yesterday due to which the filing of nomination papers were affected. The commission has also called a meet on the coming week to hear queries related to the polls.
