Bengal teachers’ recruitment scam: After being questioned for 65 hours (nearly three days) by the central investigation agency, TMC MLA Jiban Krishna Saha was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection to the teachers’ recruitment a scam.
The TMC MLA allegedly refused to cooperate with the probe, according to CBI sources.
Saha was being interrogated at his home in the Murshidabad district when a CBI special team brought him to Kolkata on Monday morning. The questioning started on Friday, April 14 at noon.
After Saha Manik Bhattacharya and Partha Chatterjee, the TMC MLA is the third lawmaker from the Mamata Banerjee-led party to be arrested in connection with the issue.
