Cyclonic storm Biparjoy with a speed of about 150 km will hit the coastal region of Saurashtra and Kutch on the evening of June 15. High waves are rising in the sea in Maharashtra and Gujarat. According to the Meteorological Department, due to its effect, there may be heavy rainfall from 14 to 16 June.

The effect of Biparjoy is being seen in Gujarat and Maharashtra. High waves are rising in the sea in both the states. The Meteorological Department has told that on June 15, a significant effect of Biparjoy will be seen. As a precaution, the Railways has canceled 95 trains. Western Railway says that these trains will remain canceled till June 15. So far, more than 37 thousand people have been shifted from Gujarat to a safer place.
Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya inspected hospitals in Gujarat’s Kutch and sought information on available oxygen, ventilators and critical care beds. He also reviewed the preparations made to ensure necessary health facilities in the aftermath of the cyclone.

Cyclone ‘Biparjoy’, which emerged from the Arabian Sea, is set to turn towards the Kutch region of Gujarat and adjoining South Pakistan on Wednesday. It is weakening slightly in the process, but it still poses a threat of storm surge, strong winds and heavy rain.
