“If Rahul Gandhi’s comment is insulting then this act has definitely tarnished our Prime Minister and Chief Minister’s image. The chair where Nath was sitting now needs to be cleansed with Ganga water. Nath should never be allowed to sit on that chair again. In a similar instance, Odisha Congress MLA Naba Kishore Das was suspended. We demand that similar action should be taken against Nath too and ban him for six years,” Debbarma said.
BJP MLA reacts to viral video
After the backlash on social media, Nath claimed obscene videos started appearing on his phone as he received a call. “I know well that using mobile phones is prohibited in the House. As repeated calls were coming, I picked up a call, and then obscene videos started appearing on my phone. Anyways, I then closed it,” he told PTI.
