BSF captures Pak drones at Punjab international border

The Border Security Force (BSF) has once again foiled Pakistan’s conspiracy to send drugs and weapons through drones. Pakistani drones that had entered inside the international border of Punjab were chased away by firing. According to the information, the drone tried to infiltrate 2 times at different posts. This information has been given by BSF. BSF said that on late Sunday night at Gurdaspur in Punjab, Pakistani drones, which were trying to infiltrate into the Indian territory twice, were fired upon by the soldiers.

According to the information, during patrolling, the activity of a drone coming from Pakistan was seen at Chandu Batala outpost of Gurdaspur sector at around 10.20 pm on Sunday night. After this BSF jawans fired 26 rounds and 6 flare bombs were fired. BSF told that after this at 10.48 pm near Kasowal post in Gurdaspur sector, once again the drone tried to enter the Indian territory, which was repelled by BSF jawans again by firing.

Due to the firing, the drone went back towards Pakistan from above the fencing. During this, the jawans fired about 72 rounds on the Pakistani drone and also fired 4 light bombs. Senior officials were informed after the incident and a search operation is still going on in the area. Gurdaspur sector DIG Prabhakar Joshi inspected the spot and also interacted with local citizens including jawans. He told that since late night, the intensive search operation of the entire area is being done in collaboration with the Border Security Force and the police. Pakistani drone activity has been seen 3 times in the last 2 days. He told that a befitting reply is being given to every nefarious conspiracy being hatched by Pakistan’s side.
