A 150-foot-long underground tunnel (Samba Tunnel) has been unearthed by BSF personnel on the International Border in the Samba sector of Jammu and Kashmir. It is suspected that this tunnel was used to infiltrate the terrorists of Jaish-e-Mohammed.
This is the third underground tunnel found at the international border in 2020 itself. This is a matter of great concern for the BSF on the 198-km-long international border near Pakistan in Jammu.
Pakistan has changed its strategy for infiltration and due to increasing alertness of BSF at the border, now infiltration is being done from below the ground. In such a situation, the Indian Army has increased its vigil on the international border. The security forces are running this kind of operation to find more such tunnels.
Talking to the media, the DGP said that the police got some clues from the encounter site, which have been shared with the BSF. Which has detected the tunnel after much effort. Jamwal said that this clue was a huge success. This will be strongly opposed with Pakistan. The IG of BSF said that the tunnel is 2.5 meters long and 25-30 meters deep. It is designed in a proper way. It has been made in such a way that it is not known anywhere.
