Like the Bulli Bai app, the Sully Deals app came last year. But the Bulli Bai app was exposed on New Year’s Eve when several Muslim women found their profiles up for auction on the app. Through this app, those women were targeted who are vocal on political and social issues. This includes many journalists, social workers and lawyers. This app was being hosted through the GiftHub platform.
According to the police, Vishal opened several accounts by linking him with Sikhs. Although it has been found in the investigation that this app has no relation with Sikhs, but it is allegedly shown as the handiwork of some Khalistani group.
The Bulli Bai app, which appears to be a clone of ‘Sully Deals’, created a lot of controversy after its arrival last year. IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has said that the GiftHub user behind the app has been blocked and “further action” is being coordinated. The Delhi Commission for Women has issued a notice to the police officers in this regard.
