The CBI has filed its charge sheet in the alleged corruption case in Delhi’s new excise policy. The CBI has registered a case against all the seven accused under sections related to corruption. These seven accused are Vijay Nair, Abhishek Boinpalli, Arun Pillai, Muttatha Gautam, Sameer Mahendru. While the names of two excise officers Kuldeep and Narendra Singh are also in the charge sheet.
Although the CBI has not named Deputy CM Manish Sisodia in its charge sheet. CBI has filed the charge sheet in Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court. The hearing of the liquor scam is to be held in this court.
Delhi High Court had sought response on the petition challenging the bail of Vijay Nair
However, a day before, Delhi High Court had sought response on the petition challenging the bail of Vijay Nair and Abhishek Boinpalli in the case related to liquor scam. A single bench of Justice Yogesh Khanna had issued notices to Nair and Boinapalli asking them to file their replies on separate petitions of the CBI. The hearing in this matter is to be held in the court on 5 December.

The High Court has also asked them to file a reply on the CBI’s application seeking stay on the bail order of the lower court. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) communications in-charge Nair and businessman Boinpally, however, are still in custody. He has been taken into custody by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a money laundering case related to excise policy.
