CBI Raids 105 Locations Against Cyber Fraud

In order to crack down on the increasing cyber crime in the country, the CBI has conducted raids at 105 places across the country under Operation Chakra.

According to the information received, apart from 5 places in Delhi, raids are going on in Andaman, Punjab, Chandigarh and Rajasthan also with the help of State Police.

According to CBI sources, a fake call center has been busted in Rajsamand, Rajasthan, where one and a half kg of gold and one and a half crore rupees have been recovered in the raid. According to sources, leads were received in this case from Interpol and FBI, after which raids were conducted at all these places, which is currently going on.

According to the information received, cybercrime division of CBI is going on at 87 locations in these 105 places across the country, while the operation of the state police is going on at 18 places.

These include 4 places in Andaman, 5 places in Delhi, 3 places in Chandigarh besides 2 places in Punjab, Karnataka and Assam.

In fact, the CBI has started the investigation by registering many cases of cyber fraud. According to sources associated with the CBI, a lot of evidence of cyber fraud has been found. In this fraud transactions were being done through darknet. CBI has also busted 2 other call centers in this regard.

One of them is in Pune and one in Ahmedabad. Both these call centers were doing fraud in America. The CBI has informed the FBI about this and asked for action.
