Summons sent after stay by Supreme Court
Abhishek Banerjee, nephew of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, received a CBI summon, hours after the Supreme Court stayed his interrogation in a case of alleged corruption in teachers’ recruitment.
Trinamool leader Anubrata Mandal, considered close to the chief minister, was arrested in July last year in the same case. Apart from this, TMC MLA Jeeban Krishna Saha, arrested for his alleged involvement in teacher recruitment scam, has been sent on 4-day CBI remand on Monday.
