Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on Thursday announced the schedule of the CBSE Class 10 and 12 exams 2021, much to the relief to the students and their parents.
The Union Minister said that the CBSE board examinations 2021 will be held from May 4 to June 14.
The practical tests of the CBSE board exams 2021 will begin on March 4 and the CBSE board exams 2021 results will be announced by July 15.
“The board exams for class 10 and 12 will be conducted from May 4 to June 10. Schools will be allowed to conduct practical exams from March 1. Date sheet for both the classes will be issued soon. The results will be declared by July 15,” Union education announced on December 31.
The exam will have 33 per cent internal choice and 30 per cent of the syllabus has been reduced. The minister also said that schools can also find an alternative to practical exams owing to the pandemic. The exam will be held in the usual offline pen paper mode.
“Keeping the COVID -19 pandemic in mind and adhering to the principle of ‘Safety with Education’, CBSE will adopt various measures for the safety and security of every student. I can assure you that board exams will be conducted with the same proficiency as JEE and NEET exams,” Pokhriyal said.
In normal circumstances, the practical exams are conducted in January and written exams are held in February and conclude in March. However, due to the classes being delayed this year amid pandemic, exams are being delayed.
The minister also said that the date sheet will be announced soon.
